Program Staff
Come hike, laugh, count, dance, read, shop and clown. Where? Our classrooms include a hiking trail, chicken coop, grocery store, yoga mat, easel, and garden. We are connected to over 100 adults age 18 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are eager to get of their homes and off the couch! They come to Tavon to forge friendships with their peers and Tavon Team members while continuing to learn new skills like independent living, goal setting, social skills, and more, and experience new activities such as art, science, yoga, hiking, and gardening.
Ideal candidate must be a team player, flexible, patient, imaginative, attentive, consciousness and communicative. In leading by example, staff often marvel at how they learn to see the world in new ways. While we follow daily programs. curriculum and schedules, every day is both spontaneous and tranquil, loving and goofy, friendly and humbling. Staff feel rewarded through client/family relationships where they are appreciated and needed. Experience with disabilities is helpful, but we especially value compassionate and kind self-aware humans who can coach, teach and encourage with gentleness. Want to see just how much fun we have? Starts at $22/hr
40 hrs/week (part time options may be available)
8:50 am-4:50pm M-F
12 days paid time off
4 paid holidays
Paid medical/dental/vision for full time employees
Position is located in Issaquah, WA, so employees must be able to commute to and from Issaquah every day.
