Program Staff
Make a Difference Every Day
At Tavon Learning Center, learning goes beyond the traditional classroom. Our spaces include hiking trails, a chicken coop, a grocery store, yoga mats, easels, and a garden. We serve over 100 adults (ages 18 and older) with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are eager to build friendships, gain independence, and participate in new experiences such as art, science, yoga, hiking, and gardening.
At Tavon, members continue to develop life skills like independent living, goal setting, and social interaction, while forming meaningful connections with peers and staff.
About the Role:
We are looking for someone who is a team player, flexible, patient, imaginative, attentive, conscientious, and communicative. Our staff lead by example and often discover new ways of seeing and experiencing the world through their work.
While we follow daily programs, curriculum, and schedules, each day brings a balance of structure and spontaneity, creating a supportive and dynamic environment. Staff members often build strong, rewarding relationships with clients and families, where their contributions are valued and appreciated.
Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required. We value compassionate, kind, and self-aware individuals who are comfortable coaching, teaching, and encouraging others with gentleness and respect.
